North Coast Natives (formerly Island Horticultural Services), we offer consulting, design, installation and maintenance services for small landscapes and fine gardens. Licensed nursery retailer, licensed landscaping contractor, bonded and insured.
Some specialty areas include: less-common perennials for distinctive, low-maintenance gardens; organic and less-toxic pest control; pet-safe and wildlife-friendly gardening; incorporating native plants into landscapes and gardens; beautiful stonework for paths, walls, raised beds etc.; skilled pruning of ornamental shrubs and small trees.
The NCN nursery focuses on native plants, and a few selected less-common non-native perennials. I sell at Poulsbo Farmers' Market, Saturdays 9-2, April through October. Home deliveries available in the North Kitsap/Bainbridge area, year-round. Beginning March 2015, I will also be selling from the nursery by appointment.
Several times a year, I also offer workshops on native plant-related topics, usually with co-presenter, ecologist Sally Manifold, MS.
